1: What Is the Simulator's Goal?
The Simulator's goal is to Simulate The Israel Railways JT42BW Locomotive As Realistically as possible. and let people who want to drive that loco without having to do it for money, a chance
2: Why not a DLC to an existing train sim?
MSTS is 20 years old, TS20xx and Trainz do not offer enough realism, OpenBVE Is too simple for such a locomotive, Open rails focuses more on backwards compatibility and less on new content while Train sim world and Run 8 don't have Third party tools.
3: My Train Does not go - what should i do?
Make sure to set reverser to forward with the w key and press "ready to run" to tell conductor you're ready or enter to skip to departure time. for more things you can check go to Reference
4: My train stopped without me wanting it to stop - what should i do?
Starting now, it won't happen in "easy" mode. as alot of the systems that caused that are disabled in it.
make sure you understand how SIFA, Indusi and the overspeed systems work to prevent those stops. you can also cut out the system in ways described in "know before you go". Reset instruction for all systems in "emergency reference"
5: Will there be more routes?
More and More routes will be added with time, the Naharyia - Modi'yin and Ashkelon - Be'er sheva(western line) are in planning stages. others will appear in the far future
6: Will there be more trains?
The sim is hard coded based on the JT42BW locomotive. and creating another locomotive/Multiple unit/Control car will mean reprogramming almost the entire sim. however, Alternate car sets(Old Loco Hauled, Alstom/Push Pull, Siemens, Freight) might appear in the future
7: Raildriver support when?
Not before 2022. A full console based on the JT42BW is in planning stages and will offer stuff the RailDriver cannot offer
8: why Israel?
because it has never been done before other than for driver training. There are many simulators of trains from around the world. both from the USA. where 5-10 hour delays are a common case, and from Europe: where being fast and on time is top priority. fun fact: This was supposed to be a simulator of a certain famous steam train. but someone else has beaten me to it
